1. Using the service
These terms govern your use of Squario, operated by SmitSocial.Media Limited. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials and use the service lawfully.
2. Group records and responsibilities
Users are responsible for expenses, payer contributions, splits, shopping items and allocations, tasks, settlement-team choices and settlement confirmations they enter. Group members should review records and resolve disputes between themselves. Squario calculates balances from the information supplied but does not decide whether a real-world debt or task is legally owed or required.
3. No money movement
The service does not currently move money, process card payments, connect to bank accounts or confirm that an external payment took place. A settlement marked as paid or received is a record made by group members.
4. Currency conversion
Converted amounts are estimates based on available exchange-rate data. The original expense amount and currency remain the source of truth. Rates may be delayed, cached or manually supplied and can differ from a bank or card provider's rate.
5. Receipts, loyalty cards, vouchers and shared content
You are responsible for ensuring that you are allowed to store or share receipts, loyalty cards, vouchers, codes and other content. Receipt suggestions and automatically prepared shopping allocations must be reviewed before saving. Do not upload login credentials, payment-card details, unlawful material or information you do not have permission to share.
6. Partner and financial offers
The app may show clearly labelled partner offers and may earn commission. Offers are provided by third parties and can change or expire. Financial offers are not personal financial advice; check eligibility, fees, rates and provider terms before applying.
7. Squario Plus, passes and store billing
Core Squario functionality can remain available without Plus. Plus can include personal ad-free use and access to features such as receipt scanning. Plus partner offers are off by default; a Plus member may voluntarily enable selected helpful partner offers and may disable them again at any time. Where a Plus member administers a group, a stated shared benefit can be available to that group's members while the sponsoring administrator remains eligible. Other members do not become Plus subscribers and the shared benefit can end when the sponsorship ends.
Fixed 30, 60, 90 or 180-day passes are one-off, non-renewing purchases. They end automatically on the displayed expiry date. The annual option is an auto-renewing subscription: the store account is charged at confirmation and again each year unless it is cancelled through Apple or Google before renewal. The app shows the store's current local price and billing period before purchase. Store price changes, taxes, billing, cancellation and refunds are governed by the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play terms. Restoring purchases asks the store to re-check eligible transactions; it does not create a new charge.
A Lifetime purchase is a one-off Plus entitlement for the life of the Squario service and the purchasing account, subject to these terms and lawful use. Founder and complimentary lifetime access is granted directly by Squario rather than purchased. Confirmed Founder access is not revoked for later inactivity, but it does not prevent proportionate action for fraud, abuse or account closure. Exceptionally expensive third-party or metered services can have clearly disclosed fair-use limits or separate charges; ordinary Plus features will not be silently removed from an existing entitlement.
8. Campaigns, vouchers and Founder places
Campaign links and vouchers can be limited by time, market, audience, product, account and number of uses. A Founder eligibility link or code does not itself guarantee a permanent place. The stated qualification steps must be completed, the place must be reserved while capacity remains and meaningful shared use must occur within the reservation period. Campaign capacity is enforced server-side. Confirmed numbers are permanent and are not reissued if an account is later deleted. We may reject duplicate, automated, resold, fraudulent or otherwise ineligible claims.
9. Acceptable use
Do not misuse invitations, interfere with the service, attempt unauthorised access, commit fraud, scrape private data, impersonate another person or use the service to harm others. We may restrict or suspend accounts where reasonably necessary for security, compliance or abuse prevention.
10. Availability and changes
Offline functionality reduces reliance on connectivity but does not guarantee that every feature is always available. Sync conflicts, outages or device loss can affect access. We may improve, replace or withdraw features and will communicate material changes where appropriate.
11. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without guarantees of uninterrupted availability, exchange-rate accuracy, offer eligibility or error-free user-entered balances. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Account closure and changes to these terms
You may delete your account through the app. You can also email privacy@getsquario.com from the email address connected to your account and ask us to delete it. Shared group history may remain in anonymised form to preserve other members' records. We may update these terms and will identify the active version and effective date.
