Requesting deletion
Signed-in users can choose Profile → Privacy & data → Delete account. People who no longer have the app can use the public deletion page or contact privacy@getsquario.com.
Verification and timing
We verify requests to prevent unauthorised deletion. A signed-in user may complete deletion after confirming their password. Other requests remain pending until verified. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days.
What is removed
We delete or anonymise profile names, email, password access, sessions, device registrations, push tokens, travel context, offer preferences and other account-linked personalisation data. Pending local information is cleared when the app receives confirmation.
Shared group history
Deleting every historical expense could silently alter other members' balances. Where shared expense or settlement history must remain, the deleted person's identity is replaced with Former member and can no longer be used as an account.
Limited retention
We may retain minimal security, fraud-prevention, dispute or legal records where necessary. Retained information is restricted and kept only for the applicable period.
